So today (finally) we are doing a top five. Not just ANY top five, mind you, an EXPENSIVE TOP FIVE. I think this might go well (or nooot) so let's get this party started!
So we all like to indulge ourselves from time to time and what's better than something sweet? Well, if you're rolling in money and you gotta get the best there is, these are the top five most EXPENSIVE treats/desserts/I don't know in the world!
Decadence D’Or cupcake
Chow down on this baby! This is the world's most expensive cupcake, selling for a whopping $750 USD (wow)! With ingredients like 100 year-old Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac, Tahita Gold Vanilla Caviar and (of course, what dessert would be complete without them) edible gold flakes, it isn't hard to see why people would spend a small fortune on this one.
Michael Cluizel Box of Assorted treats
Who doesn't love chocolate? It's the best! And for around $895 USD (I think) you can buy a box of 400 (400!!!!) different pieces of the finest quality chocolate, all with a different taste or texture. Yum.
Krispy Kreme’s Luxe Doughnut
Woah! This thing looks like it's straight out of Alice in Wonderland! With Dom Perignon 2002 champagne jelly, gold dusted white chocolate flowers, some more gold leaf (24-carat, obviously) AND edible diamonds! Oh, and a cocktail on the side. Just you're casual $1,682 doughnut (if you're Bill Gates.) However, some of the money made with this doughnut goes to charity, so, yeah?
Platinum Wedding Cake
So weddings are expensive AS but what if you paid $130,000 just FOR THE CAKE? Literally decorated with jewellery and with edible platinum flakes, this cake is a KNOCKOUT.
Ah look! A bowl of strawberries worth $1.4 million! (Well, I did forget to mention the 24,850 dollar Charles X crystal cave liqueur, the 4.7-carat pink diamond ring and the Jazz ensemble?) Imagine winning Lotto and going; "Ah, yes, that bowl of strawberries looks nice and will ONLY cost a quarter of my winnings!" So far, this million-dollar dessert has had no buyers (surprise surprise.)
So, that finishes off this post. Hopefully this post has captured your attention and has interested you in some way. Like, subscribe to the mailing list and I'll see you in the next post!
